Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, and he'll be at Rhodes College as guest of the college's "Communities in Conversation" series on Monday, February 25th. The time is 7 p.m.; the McCallum Ballroom of the Bryan Campus Life Center is the location; and the event, which is free and open to the public, will include a booksigning.
"We are excited to host the most important Muslim voice for Islamic interfaith relations at Rhodes College," Judaken said by email. "Imam Rauf's visit offers a unique possibility for Memphians to hear from the source about the commonalities among Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and other faith traditions and the shared aspects of Islamic and American law. With the amount of misinformation and hostile defamation of Muslims and Islam in our culture, this event is sure to offer surprising revelations. For those with little or no background in Islam, Imam Rauf's book provides a perfect primer, as will his talk."
